What we do
Bangla Institute of Performing Arts & Media, Inc. is organized and operated exclusively for public or educational purpose as specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as now enacted or hereafter amended, Subject to the limitations stated in the Articles of Incorporation, the purposes of this corporation shall be to engage in any lawful activities, none of which are for profit, for which corporations may be organized under Texas Nonprofit corporation Act
Specifically, the Bangla Institute of Performing Arts & Media, Inc is organized for the following purposes:
1. To promote, develop and enrich the multicultural heritage of North America by introducing and fostering the richness and vastness of Bengali performing arts and culture.
2. to produce and present Bengali theaters, music, and dance on stage for all audience
3. To produce documentary films and videos to stimulate, preserve and support the work of Bengali-speaking Americans in the fine, literary, and performing arts.
4. To produce and broadcast radio programs in the Bengali language for all audiences to promote Bengali arts, culture, and artists in the multicultural communities in America.
5. To promote and produce independent feature films of an artistic nature for all audiences worldwide
6. To promote global cross-cultural exchange through performing arts. Using performing and media arts, we aim at bridging the gap in the differences among various countries thereby fostering peace, unity, and development. This is accomplished through international performance tours and film festivals. Workshops, seminars, and conferences.
7. Establish contacts/affiliations with organizations with similar visions and aims in North America and abroad.
