Who we are

Bangla Institute of Performing Arts and Media was founded in 2009 in Dallas, Texas as a Bengali theater organization. The organization latter expanded its purposes to include all segments of Bengali performing arts, media and cultural activities. The organization registered with the Texas Secretary of State as a nonprofit corporation in August 2009 The organization was granted the tax-exempt status under the IRC section 501 c(3) in September 2010 by the Internal Revenue Service.

The mission of the Bangla Institute of Performing Arts and Media, Inc (BIPAM) is to promote, develop and enrich the multicultural heritage of North America by introducing and fostering the richness and vastness of Bengali performing arts and culture to build a diverse cultural community that provides performing arts performances, training and education, and community programs for all. BIPAM organizes and produces Bengali musical and theatrical performances on stage, assists other organizations with similar views, and aims to arrange Bengali cultural events for all audiences in North America. Since its inception, BIPAM produced and organized many musical and theatrical presentations and cultural events in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex that were critically acclaimed, there are no membership requirements. BIPAM welcomes everybody interested in Bengali performing arts, culture, and heritage to join the organization.
